At Startup TNT, we understand that accessing capital is the biggest hurdle for startups. That's why we organize 30+ Angel Syndicates per year in Western Canada, welcoming both new and experienced investors. We strongly believe that local investors have the potential to achieve superior returns by investing in local talent. We also believe that building companies and investing in startups is more enjoyable when done as a team, with friends. And we can confidently say that we have the most fun doing it.

Summit Summary
Financial commitment: $5,000 pre-commitment investment + $500 program fee. Plus, as much as you'd like to invest at the end!
Public pitch events: TNT Pitch Night & Summit Finale
Time commitment: 2–5 hours weekly (busy? let us know)
Deal screening format: We host weekly investor update meetings, share information on an investor Slack channel, and break into small groups to conduct due diligence on the companies participating (this is run digitally so you can participate from anywhere)
1 group investor diligence meeting per week with à la carte investor Education sessions through the Summit

TNT has a very welcoming atmosphere and by design, it provides a path for experienced angel investors to share their wisdom with newer and first-time angel investors. A lot of the investors also come with expertise in complementary areas, creating something that I like to think of as akin to the Swiss cheese model of risk mitigation.
